High-Impact Consulting

If we want to achieve a world where generosity really does lead to substantial, meaningful, and measurable improvements in people’s lives, both donors and the organizations they fund will need to change. Shifting from a charitable mindset to an impact mindset requires learning new skills, implementing them with rigor, and the tenacity to stick with it year after year. We help donors and organizations through this process.

Our Approach

Our team guides you through the transformation:

  • Learn essential skills and mindsets for high-impact philanthropy.
  • Set bold strategies focused on solving real problems.
  • Build robust impact assessment systems so you always know your progress—and can show it.

Funder Consulting

We consult with donor-investors of all sizes and types to help them make the shift to higher-impact granting and impact investing. This includes individuals, families, corporations, and their tax-advantaged vehicles such as foundations and donor-advised funds.

We assist with everything from training to strategy setting and impact evaluation. Our consulting efforts often focus on evaluating a social impact organization that a funder has been involved with, or on finding a new organization that has greater outcomes.

Social Impact Organization Consulting

Based on years of experience, we assist social impact organizations to:

  • Gain clarity on the real problem they want to solve, rather than on the particular intervention they currently have in place. Once the focus is on solving the actual problem, rather than their current tool or intervention, organizations experience greater energy, flexibility, and focus.
  • Create and implement a measurement strategy that drives greater impact. Without a measurement strategy, an organization will never achieve its potential impact.
Running development programs without continual and rigorous impact evaluation is like driving a car with a mud-caked windshield, no mirrors, and no speedometer. In this unfortunate situation, you have little idea where you’re going, how quickly, or even how to get where you want to go.
